DFN Generator

The DFN Generator app allows you to generate and calibrate a DFN based on your structural data from the Rock Mass Data module. The app also allows you to synthetically sample your DFN.

Key Features​

  • Estimate your DFN inputs from structural data (Rock Mass Data module)
  • Calibrate DFN inputs by comparing real-data sampling to DFN sampling
  • Synthetic sampling of generated DFNs
  • Export generated DFN

Supported Data Types​

  • Raw structural data or knowledge of structural data (joint orientation, joint persistence and joint spacing for each joint sets)
  • DFN inputs (for each sets: orientation (dip, dip direction, Fisher's k parameter), P32, mean joint diameter)
  • Imported DFN
  • Underground excavations: planned dimensions or surveys
