Glossary of acronyms and common terms
mXrap uses a lot platform-specific terms to refer to its functions and features. Here you can find a list of the most common as well as links to relevant resources
Common terms
CodeMeter
CodeMeter is a software-based licensing system used by mXrap to manage software licences. It provides secure licence management and copy protection for the mXrap software suite. CodeMeter Runtime must be installed on all systems running mXrap to handle licence validation and management.
Dongle
A hardware security key (USB device) that contains software licences. In mXrap's context, dongles are physical devices that must be connected to a computer to run licenced software. They provide an additional layer of security and licence management.
Export
The process of extracting data from mXrap in various formats for use in external applications or for data sharing. mXrap supports multiple export formats and specialised export tools for different data types.
Survey
A coordinate system and spatial reference framework used in mXrap to define the geometric relationship between different data sources. Surveys ensure that all spatial data (seismic events, mine geometry, etc.) are properly aligned and georeferenced.
Trigger
An automated response mechanism in mXrap that executes specific actions when predefined conditions are met. Triggers can be used for real-time monitoring, alerting, and automated data processing workflows.
Acronyms
mXrap uses a large number of three-letter acronymns (TLAs, if you will) and platform-specicfic terms.
