Normal user - Seismic

Intermediate

Normal users at seismic mines should be familiar with the most commonly used apps. This level will cover the most important seismic apps, including seismic hazard assessment, short term response analysis and mine geometry models.

Videos

Hazard Assessment

MUL - Isosurfaces
0:05:50

This video goes through the initial setup for the hazard assessment application, the estimation of MUL and the grid-based hazard calculations.

b-value Isos
0:02:42

Control the appearance of the b-value isos.

Excavation View
0:07:10

The previous video showed the isosurface view that is independent of excavations. The excavation view shows the ground motion hazard on work areas.

Track Hazard Volume over Time
0:05:14

As an extension to the excavation hazard, you can calculate the hazard for minodes within each of your filter volumes. This video shows you these tools as well as a function to track the hazard for filter volumes over time.

Short Term Response Analysis

SRA Simple Response Viewer
0:08:50

This window gives users tools to visualise the response to blasting noth graphically and in 3D (using a spheroid around the blast or large event). The response can be modelled using the Modified Omori Law. A density plot of the response around the trigger is also given in 2D or 3D

SRA Trigger Assessment
0:02:54

Analyse the triggers themselves and not the response events. This helps to determine which locations have the most events.

Grid Based Analysis

Grid based analysis - Getting started
0:01:34

This video guides you through the initial setup process for the Grid-Based Analysis app, how to set the grid and check the data period and grid extents.

Grid based Analysis - Assessment
0:03:19

This video goes through how to display the grid results. There are many options available to either plot the grid as points or isosurfaces.

Mine Geometry Models

MGM Build Steps
0:04:49

Use the automatic boundary box on closed surveys to construct outer blocks and internal blocks. Also assign attributes for model generation.

MGM Build Models
0:03:24

Build models from the previously built steps. The model building process occurs by ordering dates to work out the merging and construction process.

MGM Export Models
0:06:35

Observe the models generated from the building stages and change the export features for use in numerical modelling or other programs that use inp, dtm, stl & dxf.

MGM General Analysis
0:02:21

Learn how to use the generated MGM models in General Analysis for interpretation.
